Careers News at The Pavilion!

What’s been happening?
Our independent Careers Advisor, Andrew, has been working with our Year 11
students, exploring post 16 options and supporting college applications.
Talk the Talk came into Whetstone and ran a workshop on developing CV and interview
skills.
Kaylee Training have been running a music production workshop
A small group of KS4 pupils have been doing a great motor mechanics course.
The DWP ran an assembly for KS3 pupils on the world of work and future trends in the
job market.
Street League ran an assembly for KS4 pupils on their work with post 16s who may
have difficulties settling onto a new path.
Looking Forward....
Over half term, 10 pupils have signed up for virtual work experience in the business and
IT sectors.
Capel Manor, will be giving an assembly about the interesting courses they offer,
including; garden design, animal care, floristry, balloon art, saddle making, tree surgery
Our annual Pavilion Careers Fair will take place on Wednesday 18 th March, 10-
1pm and you are invited! We will have employers from; Durkan, Maddens and
Marlborough Highways construction, nail art, Pony Parties, the Doyle Collection [hotels],
Utility Warehouse, The Civil Service, Dr Bike, Saracens, Barnet College and Oaklands
College, First Rung, the Fire Brigade
By Easter, all Year 11s should have up to date CVs and those wanting apprenticeships
will be ready to apply!
