Pavilion students climb Snowdon and raise awareness of our Charity of the Year: In Sue's Name
We want to say a huge thank you to the team of staff and students who climbed Mount Snowdon on Tuesday this week. They took with them the flag for our Charity of the Year 2018-19. We can share more photos of the trip with you in our gallery album here. This was the third time we have run this trip and this time we took the Pyg track which wasn’t the easiest!
We had two professional mountaineers with us who brought their dogs, Scout and Saskia.
The students were fantastic with them and looked after them well. A huge thank you again to Paula, Adrian, Andy, Chuma and Fatma for continuous effort , dedication and incredible patience! Thank you as well for the support at home.
Here's what one students said about the trip:
"I liked the trip, it brought everyone closer because we had to trust and help each other. We all helped each other up the mountain, even people we didn’t know from other schools and charity groups. I realised that I can achieve a lot when I am focused. It’s also made me feel that I need to respect teachers and be more kind and have more manners.
When you reach the top of mountain you feel like you’ve achieved something big and you’re thankful for that. It made me happy." - Josh, Year 10
