Activities for those receiving benefits related Free School Meals

BACE Holidays

BACE Holidays is organised and run by Barnet Council and Young Barnet Foundation and fully funded by the Department for Education.

BACE holidays supports children and young people in Reception - Year 11 who receive benefit-related Free School Meals* in the borough of Barnet.

School holidays can be pressure points for some families due to increased costs and reduced incomes. BACE Holidays provide engaging and healthy activities with an emphasis on physical, emotional, and nutritional wellbeing during the school holidays. Activities may include football, cricket, arts and crafts, performing arts and lots more.

If your child is eligible or is in receipt of benefit-related Free School Meals* and would like to apply to attend BACE Holiday camps, click below to register for BACE Holidays.

*Benefit-related free school meals (FSM) are available to pupils if their parents are in receipt of one of the qualifying benefits, and have a claim verified by their school or local authority.

Universal Infant Free School Meals - All children in reception, year 1 and year 2 in England’s state-funded schools receive a free meal under the Department for Education (DfE) Universal Infant Free School Meal (UIFSM) policy. However, infant pupils who receive a free meal under UIFSM must also be eligible for benefits-related FSM to be able to access a place on the HAF programme.
