Fishing at The Pavilion

Catch of the Day!

Fishing in the summer is becoming a tradition at the Pavilion.  Students from our Key Stage 3 site at Meadway go to Jack’s Lake for one afternoon a week for half a term, to try their luck to land a catch.

Dave Thomas from the Hadley Angling Club coaches the young people and shows the more experienced anglers new techniques. Here’s Dave helping helping everyone.

The Pavilion is committed to engaging and enthusing students by offering new ways to learn.

On the fishing course, students develop their skills in following instructions, concentration and perseverance.  It also builds confidence by creating opportunities for them to achieve.

It should be noted that Leon, who enjoys going with the students, didn’t catch any of the fish that he’s  photographed with!

Dion and Caine with his catch! Fantastic!                                        Michael shows how it’s done!

So far, we’ve been really lucky with the weather.  Here’s Tarique on one of the hottest days of the year, with his catch!
