Helping with Student Worries
Here are some examples of 'worry' and 'work' tins made by Casey, one of our students currently on Outreach with The Pavilion.
Her teacher, Angie, explains:
"One tin contains cards detailing personal concerns and worries, whilst the other has been thoughtfully decorated with pictures that reminds her of ideas that may 'work' to help alleviate worries and/or moments of high anxiety.
The 'work' tin holds cards with ideas and suggestions that Casey can read and use when she is in need of some support to help her deal with her fears."
Outreach students often have needs over and above academic requirements. Outreach teachers are flexible, caring and empathetic, tailoring their teaching to Individual needs .
"The best vocation ever!"
