At the Pavilion, we believe that it is vital to offer enrichment activities to support the personal development of each and every student in our care. We believe it is not only academic success that will ensure all of our young people thrive and achieve in the future, but also the wider activities and experiences that we offer that help to build confidence, resilience and social skills amongst our students.
We offer individualised programmes of mentoring and support for our students as well as links with outside agencies such as Barnet Football Club, Finchley Boxing Club, Equine Therapy and many others. We also organise two Enrichment Days each term when we have a collapsed timetable and offer students a range of different activities and visits to consolidate and add value to the work that they do in the classroom.
We also maintain strong links with local mainstream schools and aim to reintegrate students wherever possible back into mainstream school. This is a supported and gradual process with students being accompanied back to school by members of our staff team and supported in lessons until they have settled and can cope independently. We have a very high success rate with out reintegration programme and place greate value on this aspect of our offer at Key Stage 3 as well as for those young people who have been out of mainstream education as a result of medical and mental ill-health.
